艦船用冷水機是氟利昂直接蒸發式套片盤管，采用風機強制空氣循環的方式冷卻物品，因而具有制冷劑充注量少、冷卻效率高、降溫速度快、庫房溫度均勻、結構緊湊、體積小、重量輕、安裝維修方便等特點。HUC型船用高溫冷風機適用于0℃以上冷庫，用于貯藏蔬菜、瓜果、乳制品、豆制品、禽蛋之類不耐凍與熟食品，并廣泛用于船舶伙食冷庫。LUC型船用低溫冷風機適用于0℃以下冷庫，用于貯藏魚類、肉類、禽類等葷食品及冷藏冰柜冰磚、藥品試劑、進出口轉運食品等。
